KIRILL ABOUT HIS WORK:
The human skull is traditionally associated with the death.
Death traditionally is associated with grief.
There is also “abuse” of a symbol in the popular culture
And a mystical circles.
For Kirill the skull is no more then
Playful object free from any attachment. Many cultures around the world can be an inspiration tank for the exploration
Of this form.
Made of clay 12 objects never the less give an impression
Of being made from different materials from metal till stone , and even moss and “unperfected” “sketchy” form of each hand-sculptured miniatures
Takes away any blame of being too “kitschy”.
Some references an occur on few of the sculls (one is definitely reference to Modigliani ,another painted in colors of Russian Federation)
Although the “shadow of death” is taken away from the concept, one can see
The objects as 12 zodiac signs, 12 month, and most of all,- 12 notes (the chromatic scale
Of the western music tradition), especially because 12 piano pieces are composed by the author
For every unique figure.

"Skulls in a bag "is a qvite meditation on othervise "skeary" formation.Only "casual" look of the instalation takes "unplesant" emotions and assotiations away.
